Winter Hockey Classic in Malacky: An Unforgettable Experience for Young Hockey Players
On January 25th and 26th, 2025, Malacky will host a unique hockey tournament called the Winter Hockey Classic.
Hockey Celebration at Zámocký Park
This one-of-a-kind event, organized by the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (SZĽH), will bring the excitement of outdoor hockey – in the WINTER CLASSIC format. Set in the picturesque Zámocký Park, young hockey players will have the chance to showcase their skills.
The tournament is focused on children and promises not only sports experiences but also an unforgettable atmosphere for players, parents, and fans. Teams such as HC Slovan Bratislava, HOBA Bratislava, HC Petržalka, HK Ružinov 99, HC Lamač, HK 18 Karpatský Sokol, HO Hamikovo, and the local HK Malacky will take the ice.
Saturday Program: HP1 Hockey Preparatory
Saturday will feature matches of the HP1 preparatory group, which includes children born in the 2017-2018 school year. The games will be played in a 4-on-4 plus goalie format, with each team consisting of 16 players. Matches are planned for 32 minutes with one-minute shifts, with each line playing eight shifts.
Sunday with HP2 and HP3 Preparatory Groups
On Sunday, January 26, 2025, players from the HP2 and HP3 preparatory groups will take the ice. HP2 is for children born in 2016-2017, while HP3 includes players from 2015-2016. Matches will be played in a 3-on-3 plus goalie format, with each team consisting of 12 players (6 from each year). The groups will compete against each other: HP2 vs. HP2 and HP3 vs. HP3.

- Group A: HOBA Bratislava, HC Petržalka, HK Ružinov 99, HC Lamač
- Group B: HK Malacky, HC Slovan Bratislava, HK 18 Karpatský Sokol, HO Hamikovo

- 8:35 – HC Petržalka vs. HK Ružinov 99
- 9:10 – HC Petržalka vs. HOBA Bratislava
- 9:45 – HK Ružinov 99 vs. HC Lamač
- 10:20 – HOBA Bratislava vs. HK Ružinov 99
- 10:55 – HC Lamač vs. HC Petržalka
- Break (11:30 – 12:00)
- 12:00 – HK Malacky vs. HC Slovan Bratislava
- 12:35 – HO Hamikovo vs. HK 18 Karpatský Sokol
- 13:10 – HC Slovan Bratislava vs. HO Hamikovo
- 13:45 – HK 18 Karpatský Sokol vs. HK Malacky
